Club Notes – 2nd November 2017

A narrow victory in a windswept Pearse Park on Saturday last puts us through to the semi-final of the league with opposition, venue and date still in doubt.

Clontibret Our Future
We are now working towards Phase 3 and Phase 4 of our development programme which will include the creation of an all weather playing pitch alongside our existing pitch as well as the development of a 1km walking track around the perimeter of the facility. As part of the local contribution for this we depend on the generosity of our Clontibret Our Future members. The contribution for year 3 is now due and your promoter will be calling with you shortly with a brochure that explains the whole process. Please be as generous as you can so that this plan can soon become a reality.

Annual General Meeting
The club AGM for 2018 will be held at the clubrooms on Friday 24th November at 8pm.

Congratulations and Best Wishes to our very own Conor McManus who has been honoured to represent Ireland in the International Rules Series for the fourth consecutive time, with the added distinction of Vice Captain. Conor and his teammates head for Oz on Sunday to play two matches, with the opening game taking place on Sunday, November 12 at the Adelaide Oval. The deciding test will take place the following Saturday night, November 18, at the Domain Stadium in Perth in what will be the final game held in that venue. A great honour for Conor and well deserved recognition for him, our club and county. Well done also to panel member Karl O’Connell from neighbouring club Tyholland.
