Club Notes – 23 November 2017

Credit Unions SFL Clontibret 0-6 Scotstown 0-11
The football season came to an end on Sunday last when we lost out to Scotstown at the semi-final stage. Many thanks to the management team of Cathal, Mickey and Martin for their work during the year.

Clontibret Our Future
We are now working towards Phase 3 and Phase 4 of our development programme which will include the creation of an all weather playing pitch alongside our existing pitch as well as the development of a 1km walking track around the perimeter of the facility. As part of the local contribution for this we depend on the generosity of our Clontibret Our Future members. The contribution for year 3 is now due and your promoter will be calling with you shortly with a brochure that explains the whole process. Please be as generous as you can so that this plan can soon become a reality.

Annual General Meeting
The club AGM for 2018 will be held at the clubrooms on Friday 24th November at 8pm. All members and aspiring members are asked to come along as we start planning for 2018. The Secretary’s report is now available on the website at

Conor Rules Down Under
Conor McManus scored 16 points for Ireland at the Subiaco Oval in Perth on Saturday last, to add to his 24 from last week, but it wasn’t enough to deny the home team claiming the Cormac McAnallen Cup. Another great personal honour for Conor
though, and our club, as he was again awarded the GAA Player of the Series medal for his contribution over the two games.
