Club Notes – 29 March 2018

Credit Unions Senior League
The first game of the season in the SFL gets under way at home to Truagh on Saturday 31st March. Please note this game will now be at 4pm

Platinum Tanks Reserve League; Clontibret 5-7 Donaghmoyne 0-13
Goals win matches and that was certainly the case on Saturday last as two from Dean McDonnell and one each from Eoin Greenan, Jack Gormley and Conor Doyle put Donaghmoyne to the sword at home. Next up is away to Scotstown later next month.

Minor League
The minors play Cremartin on Tuesday 27th March followed by Doohamlet on 3rd April

Well done to both our U13 teams who displayed great character and skill in their opening matches last weekend. Our Div 2 team had a hard fought victory over Donaghmoyne, while our Div 6 team came out on top in their match, which could have gone either way, against Truagh.

Our U11’s commence their Spring League this Saturday with two teams playing away to Carrickmacross.

The U7’s have an outing in the Indoor League this Saturday in Ballybay.

U6 training will commence on Friday the 13th @6pm at Clontibret Football pitch.

Monaghan GAA are organising their very popular Easter Camp again this year. The camp will take place, 3rd, 4th, 5th April in several venues. There is a free hoodie for all who take part. The three day course will be delivered by full time coaching staff, current county players and some guest coaches over the three days. If you wish to register your children, please book online on, or complete an application form and return to Monaghan training grounds, Cloghan

Monaghan v Dublin
Great to see all four Clontibret men feature so strongly in Monaghan’s win over Dublin on Sunday and in a good overall league campaign. Hopefully everybody comes safely through the upcoming club matches and then its championship time on 20th May.

The senior hurlers get their season underway with a SHL game at home to Craobh Rua on Thursday 5th April, followed by games with Inniskeen and Carrick. The DHL starts on 26th April away to the Harps.

We held our annual juvenile meeting last Fri night and look forward to a busy year. Training resumes for all (U7/9/11/13) Fri 6th April at 6.30pm on the pitch. No training this Fri 30th March. U7 and U9 teams: Go Games this summer.U11 team: play in Farney Og skills focused league, commencing 9th April.U13 team: play in Táin league against teams from 7 other counties.
