Platinum Tanks Reserve Championship McKeown Cup Clontibret 1-9 Blayney 1-14
Missed opportunities were the order of the day as our C team bowed out of their championship in Blayney on Wednesday night last giving the home side a comfortable enough win in the end. The O’Duffy Cup tie with Scotstown at Clontibret on Saturday evening last came to a premature end due to a suspected serious head injury midway through the first half. Thanks to the excellent on-field management of the situation by our physio Karl, assisted by John Mc and others the injury later proved not to be as serious as initially suspected but during the wait for further back up the decision was taken to abandon the match. Many thanks to all who helped out during the incident and also to referee Martin McNally along with the Scotstown mentors and players for their consideration and cooperation. Best wishes to Daniel for his continued recovery and looking forward to seeing him back in action soon.
