Club Notes – 4 April 2019

Shoe City Senior League Clontibret 0-19 Truagh 1-10
A good start to the senior league with a comfortable win over Truagh. Next up is a visit to Doohamlet on Sunday with a 3pm throw in time followed by a visit to Carrick on Saturday 13th April at 7pm.

Platinum Tanks Reserve Championship
The week before Easter sees two games in the Reserve Championship with RFC Division 3 playing Blayney in the McKeown Cup on Wednesday 17th April at 7.15pm in St Marys Park while on Saturday 20th April in the O’Duffy Cup, RFC Division 1 we have Scotstown in O’Neill Park at 4pm.

Gaeltacht Scholarships
Coiste Cultúir & Gaeilge Coiste Chontae Mhuineacháin each year offer scholarships for young people in the county to attend Gaeltachta so as to enhance and broaden their skill as Gaeilge and to promote Gaeilge in clubs and in the county and as a whole. Applications are now open for the 2019 scholarships, with the closing date for applications on or before 10th April. Application forms are available from the resources section of www.monaghangaa.ie and should be completed and returned to our Cultural Officer, Eilis Clarke.

Juvenile Registration
It’s important that each player is registered to be able to continue to play for the forthcoming year. Anyone who has been unable to register their child please contact Fergal 087-2242726.

Juvenile Togs & Socks
There are official club juvenile togs and socks available to purchase for €25 per child. It you would like to purchase these please contact Fergal 087-2242726

U7
The u7s will play in the indoor league this Saturday the 6th April in Colaiste Oiriall.

U9
The u9s acquitted themselves very well in the indoor league last Saturday in Clontibret.

U11
The u11s play Castleblayney this Saturday in the Spring League in Clontibret at 12 noon..

U13
The Division 2 team had a good win against Latton last weekend. The Division 6 team were unlucky against Castleblayney and lost narrowly by a point.

U15
First game for the U15’s is next Thursday the 11th away to Monaghan Harps.

U17
The u17s played their first match on Tuesday night against the Seans. No result at time of print.
