Mt Everest Loss
The loss of Seamus Lawless on Mt Everest has a local resonance especially among the GAA community as Shay is husband of Pamela McDermott who played her football at O’Neill Park as part of the local O’Neill Shamrocks club which won the Ulster Junior championship, among other trophies, in the early 2000s. Pamela and Shay have also been loyal supporters of the Monaghan senior football team over the years, travelling to venues all over the country to cheer them on. Our thoughts and prayers are with Pamela and her daughter Emma at this difficult time and if anyone wishes to support the search in a more tangible way you can make a donation towards it at
