Club Notes – 8 August 2019

Shoe City Senior League
Clontibret 0-18 Scotstown 3-9; In a high scoring senior league game at O’Neill Park on Friday night last we shared the points with Scotstown after periods of dominance by both sides. Next up is at home to Latton on Sunday 11th August at 12.30pm and Blayney on Saturday 17th August.

Senior Football Championship
The first round tie of the SFC with Carrickmacross has been fixed for Saturday 24th August in Castleblayney at 6pm.

Hurling Championship Finals
O’Neill Park hosted the first Double Header of the year on Monday last when a large crowd turned up for the Senior Hurling Championship finals. Well done to all who had the pitch and grounds in such fine shape and to those who turned up to help things run smoothly on the day. A special mention for our U13 player Eamon McElroy who regaled the large attendance with a stunning version of Amhran na bhFiann. Well done Eamon.

Juvenile Togs & Socks

Training for U6s Fridays at 6pm.All boys born in 2013 & 2014 welcome

The U7s training continues as normal.

The U9s training continues as normal.

The U11s played Aughnamullen on Tuesday evening.

The Division 6 team play Emyvale in Clontibret in their next group championship game.

Our u15s had a win against Donaghmoyne in their group championship game. Next up is Castleblayney.

Lost to Corduff in their last league game. They play the same opposition in their league final on the 16th.

We extend sympathy to the Chairman of Coiste ChontaeMhuineachain CLG , Michael O McMahon and the McMahon family on the death of their mother Mary McMahon, Scotstown. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
