Club Notes – 21 November 2019

Ulster Club Championship

Clontibret 0-9 Naomh Conaill 0-12

It wasn’t the end of year result we had hoped for,as our dreams of an Ulster final appearance came unstuck against a very defensive and physically strong Donegal side in Omagh on Saturday evening last. Nonetheless the boys gave a good account of themselves and had a few calls gone our way the result might have been different. The journey back up the road after defeat is always long and difficult but the consolation is of course that Mick Duffy was still there when we got home. We must reflect also on what was overall a great year for the club with victories not just at senior level but also at U17, U15, U13 as well as Scoil Mhuire and when you add in the Camogs and the Ladies there are plenty of medals coming to Clontibret this year. Well done to everyone involved in bringing our club back to the top table especially the senior management of John Mc, Padraig, JP and Mick along with their backroom team.
