Club Notes – 7 November 2019

Ulster Club Championship

Clontibret 0-10 Crossmaglen 0-9

Well done to all involved in a great victory in Armagh on Saturday night last when we accounted for the Rangers in the Ulster Club quarter final. It was a tough struggle in difficult conditions but the team dug deep and ground out a result. It was a difficult night for John McEntee plotting the downfall of his home club but as always he carried out his duties with good grace and quiet dignity. Well done also to Blackhill who had a good win in the JFC curtain raiser and to Magheracloone who made it through in the IFC on Sunday. Next up for us is Naomh Conaill from Glenties in Co Donegal which has been fixed for Omagh on Saturday evening, 16th November at 7pm. Blackhill will play Buncrana in the junior final at 5pm.

Annual General Meeting

The AGM for 2020 has been deferred for two weeks and will now take place on December 13th.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the McRory and McCooey families on the death of Eilish McRory. Ar dheis De go raibh a anam.

Camogie

The senior team and management would like to thank all those who supported them in the Ulster Junior ‘B’ final, in Inniskeen last week. It was very heartening to see so many locals there on such a cold night, despite the confusion around the date.

Best wishes to the Clontibret men’s senior team in the Ulster semi-final against the Donegal champions, Naomh Chonaill.

Lines will go on sale shortly for our Annual Draw and a Family Table Quiz is planned for early December. More details shortly.
