A very succinct and successful AGM took place in the Clubrooms on Friday night last. Championship Celebration and Presentation

The presentation of championship medals will be held at a celebratory dinner in the Four Seasons hotel on New Years Eve 31st December. This will be a unique event for our club with the emphasis on celebrating and honouring the group of players and managers who helped bring back the Mick Duffy Cup after a four year absence. Player of the Year awards at Senior (Killian Lavelle), Reserve (Cormac Boyle) and Young Player (Eli Ward) level will be presented. Speechifying will be at a minimum with all wrapped up in time to welcome in the New Year. This is a big night for club and family so come along to celebrate with them and ring in the New Year. Tickets are now available at the Clubrooms, at Braeside Stores or from any club official and those intending to be there should purchase their ticket this week end as numbers will have to be confirmed with the hotel.

Safe Club Audit

Well done to all involved with our grounds and premises as we take first place in the first ever Safe Club Audit conducted  by the GAA. This is a well deserved honour for those who put so many hours into ensuring everything is as it should be in and around O’Neill Park. Particular mention to our Safe Club Officer Kieran Lavelle who coordinated the process.

Clontibret Annual Gold Rush

Takes place this year on Sunday 29th December @ 11am. This fun 6k run / walk is a great family event with an opportunity to catch up with family and friends over refreshments in the Community Centre afterwards. All donations on the day are for ‘A Challenge for Elaine’. Please come out and support this very worthy cause.

Sports Quiz

Sports Quiz in the club on the 27th December. All welcome for what promises to be a great night’s fun. First question asked at 8.30 SHARP. Club open from 8pm.

Sympathy

Sympathy is extended to the partner and family of the late Patrick Caulfield, and the Blackhill club on his recent sudden passing. Paddy refereed our SFC semi-final with Latton in October. May he rest in Peace.

Season’s Greetings

A very happy Christmas to all involved with our club in any way. Here’s to an exciting and successful 2020, both on and off the pitch.
