Registration  is now due and all players and members must renew their club membership to be registered for the coming year. Full membership is €75 (students €50), while full contributors to Clontibret our Future Fund are registered for free. All players and coaches in all grades and all codes must be registered before training commences as otherwise they are not covered by the GAA Injury Fund.

Clontibret our Future Development Fund

Much progress has been made with our development project over the past four years thanks to the generosity and support of the members the Clontibret our Future Development Fund which has allowed us to advance our development to its current stage.

Hundreds of people have enjoyed and continue to enjoy the wonderful facility that our new walking track has become since it opened just over a year ago.  The  grass is growing on our new all-weather Prunty Pitch along with additional juvenile training facilities below it while the entrance to the new car park has been enhanced with road widening , footpaths and lighting. In addition much time and money has been spent in the past year maintaining and upgrading our existing pitches to keep them in the pristine condition required to accommodate our many teams from Under 7 to Senior in Football, Hurling, Camogie and Ladies football. It’s great to see such a wide range of teams in different codes using our facilities and as you might expect this puts great pressure on pitch resources. To this end we hope to bring our new Prunty Pitch into use this year which will require immediate work and expenditure to  erect  perimeter fencing, along with ball stops (especially along the river), goal posts and dugouts.  Unfortunately we were unsuccessful in our Sports Capital grant application this year and so will be reliant on our own resources, with your continued support to get the new pitch ready for final use. Thanks to the previous contributions over the past four years we have been able to make rapid progress to provide these new facilities for our community and look forward to finishing the job.

So please be generous once again when your Clontibret Our Future promoter calls in the coming days and weeks so that we can move this wonderful project towards completion and hopefully there will be adults and children running across this fine new green sward later this year. The €240 payment can be made in a lump sum, half yearly or by standing order on a monthly basis. Full membership of Clontibret Our Future entitles you to be a registered member of Clontibret O’Neill’s GAA club for 2020.

Championship Draw

We meet Blayney Faughs in the preliminary round of the senior championship due to be played on the week end 8/9 August with the winners playing Scotstown or Donaghmoyne in the first round proper. League fixtures are expected to issue next week with reserve leagues starting first week end in March and senior league the last week end in March.

County Team

Well done to the two Conors and the boys on Saturday’s display in Croker. While it was disappointing not to get the two points, it was a great performance for the most part. A break this weekend followed by a home game against Mayo on Sunday week.
