Club Notes – 4 June 2020

Phase 2 of National Road Map and GAA Covid-19 Restrictions

If as expected the country moves into Phase 2 of the national re-opening plan on Monday 8th June it is hoped that we will get the go-ahead from GAA HQ to open the walkway next week. This will not be a free-for-all reopening but rather is expected to be part of a managed plan with specific times allocated for different users and strict protocols in place to ensure compliance with HSE guidelines. Whenever details are finalised we will post these on social media and at the grounds, and walkway users are asked to fully comply with whatever restrictions are put in place, for the safety and comfort of all users.. At this time we do not expect any other facilities at the club to open so pitches will remain closed. Any new guidance received from the GAA will be passed on as it develops.

The helpdesk set up by Monaghan County Council still exists to respond to the needs of those who feel vulnerable as a result of the Covid 19 crisis. It can be contacted anytime at 1800 804 158 with a team of local volunteers in place to respond to your requirements.

Sympathy is extended to the Dawson family Castleshane on the death of Maura Gormley, Raheny, Dublin, sister of former players, Canon Larry, Pat, Brian and the late Tom Dawson. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam.
